If you live in Alaska you are SO fortunate to have Mary’s yoga retreats so accessible! They are so good that I travel to enjoy them. There are many things to love about this weekend because Mary is a master at carving out time for us to enjoy the weekend the way we need to. She provides a variety of activities including yoga, crafts, discussions, guest speakers, yummy and healthy meals, time in nature and time for yourself. It is also a beautiful space to cultivate new and deepen friendships. Mary has a special gift in making this retreat available for anyone brand new to yoga or for those who have a seasoned yoga practice. It truly is a retreat for everyone! You will leave with what you need, even if you don’t know what that is when you arrive. All you have to do is show up. Alaskans, you have a gem with Mary and her retreats. Try one and you’ll be hooked! And for others who live outside, like me, it is worth the trip and a fabulous excuse to visit Alaska.
As a first time attendee to the yoga retreat, I was pretty nervous to show up by myself. When I drove up to the Bed and Breakfast was amazed at the beautiful views and was quickly greeted by Mary. All the ladies who attended were so nice and I felt like I had known them for years after the weekend was over. It was a great experience to help my yoga practice grow and definitely a bonding experience. The food was fantastic too. Can't wait for the next one.
